Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again stirred global headlines — this time by praising Israel’s military strikes on Iran, calling them “very good for the market.”
In a phone interview with The Wall Street Journal, Trump said the attacks are a strong step toward stopping Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, which he described as a major threat to humanity.
“In the end, I think this will be very good for the market because Iran won’t have a nuclear weapon,” Trump stated. “It should be the best thing ever for the market.”
Trump claimed that his team was aware of Israel’s plans prior to the strikes, and he had spoken to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the day before. He also said another conversation was expected to follow soon.
When asked if the U.S. received any formal warning from Israel, Trump replied bluntly:

“A warning? It wasn’t a warning. It was—we know what’s happening.”
He praised the Israeli operation as:
“A very successful strike — to put it mildly.”
The comments are already sending shockwaves across political and financial circles, as tensions between Israel and Iran continue to escalate. Trump’s direct linkage of military conflict to financial markets has sparked both criticism and support, depending on the audience.
