A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck Iran, shaking the city of Qom and surrounding areas. According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the quake’s epicenter was located in Semnan Province, not far from Qom—one of the country’s most populous and religiously significant cities.
Local authorities and reports indicate that there have been no casualties or major damages reported so far. However, the tremor caused panic among residents, prompting many to flee their homes and gather in open spaces for safety.
