Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly been poisoned due to spoiled food, leading to an intestinal infection, according to media reports on Sunday.
Albanian-Israeli resident Ita Gani, speaking during the show “Ora Shtatë,” explained that Netanyahu is not hospitalized but is instead receiving full medical treatment at home.
“He has an infection in his large intestine caused by contaminated food,” Gani said, noting that despite the condition, Netanyahu will continue his work remotely.
Though his situation is not considered serious, the timing of the incident comes amid a highly sensitive political period, both domestically and in Israel’s foreign relations, especially regarding the ongoing conflict in Gaza and diplomatic tensions.

The incident raises concerns not only about Netanyahu’s health but also about food security and hygiene protocols at the highest levels of government. While the infection seems manageable, any disruption to Netanyahu’s schedule during such a volatile time could have broader implications for Israeli politics and decision-making.
