Ex‑Adult Star Lana Rhoades Calls for All Her Videos to Be Deleted: “If I Could, I’d Erase Them All”

Lana Rhoades, the American former adult‑film actress turned social media influencer, has made a powerful public plea: she wants every one of her old videos removed from the internet. The 28‑year‑old (born Amara Maple) has repeatedly expressed regret over her past in the adult‑film industry and the lasting impact it has had on her mental health, public image, and personal life.

In an interview on the Tap In podcast in 2021, Rhoades admitted:

“A lot of the videos I have no rights under, otherwise I probably would have deleted them all by now.”

She went further:

“If I could go back, I would give up everything to have my dignity and respect back, and for people not to be able to see me in that way.”

Her Rise and Exit

Lana Rhoades entered the adult‑film world in 2016 at around age 19, quickly becoming one of the most searched names in the industry.  But despite her financial success, she later described her experiences as traumatic and life‑changing. On her Three Girls One Kitchen podcast, she recounted particularly disturbing scenes and said they played a key role in her decision to leave. One scene, she said, stayed with her as a source of deep regret.

Since exiting the adult industry, Rhoades shifted her focus to being a content creator on social media (including OnlyFans and Instagram) and leveraging her following for new business ventures. Despite this, the burden of her past still weighs heavily.

Why She Wants Her Videos Deleted

The main reasons she cites:

  • Lack of control and ownership over her old content and the rights to it.
  • The stigma and long‑term emotional effects of having a body of work that she feels no longer represents her.
  • A strong desire to redefine her identity and how the world sees her, beyond her past.

Rhoades explained how the residual content affects everyday life:

“Your neighbours will tell you you can’t live next to them because they have children… your boyfriends will tell you no one else will ever love you because of your past.”

Industry & Legal Obstacles

Though her wish to delete her videos is clear, Rhoades faces major hurdles. Many of her past videos are owned by production companies or hosted on platforms where she does not control removal rights. She acknowledged this challenge:

“A lot of the videos I have no rights under…”

This grim reality highlights broader issues regarding content ownership, consent, and digital permanence — particularly in the adult industry, where performers frequently lose rights to their own body of work.

Public Reaction & Cultural Impact

The story has provoked widespread discussion across social media. Some commentators sympathize with Rhoades, pointing to evolving views on sexual labour, mental health and personal agency. Others critique her past career or question her motives now. What’s clear: her story touches on sensitive issues of image, regret and transformation in the digital age.

Many see her plea as a call for more ethical oversight, mental‑health support, and industry reform for performers who leave the adult world.

Looking Ahead

For Lana Rhoades, the focus is now on building a future defined not by her past but by her values, authenticity, and self‑respect. Whether she will be able to delete all traces of her old videos remains uncertain. But her public stand has already sparked important conversations about regret, digital identity, and the permanence of online content.
