Washington, D.C. – U.S. President Donald Trump has responded to the tragic plane crash that occurred in India, where an Air India aircraft carrying 242 people went down in flames shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad Airport.
In a public statement, President Trump described the incident as “horrific” and offered U.S. support to assist Indian authorities. “No one really knew what had happened at first — it seemed to be flying fine,” Trump said.
He went on to say, “I believe this is one of the worst accidents in aviation history.”

President Trump expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and pledged American assistance in rescue operations and investigations, should the Indian government request it.
“The United States stands with India in this difficult time,” Trump added, emphasizing the need for international solidarity in the wake of such a devastating tragedy.
