In a significant escalation of tensions, Israel has confirmed a major overnight airstrike inside Iranian territory, deploying more than 50 fighter jets to hit key strategic targets.
According to a statement by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), the operation targeted a uranium centrifuge production facility in the Iranian capital, Tehran, as well as several weapons factories located across various regions of the country.
“Several weapons production sites were struck, including facilities manufacturing raw materials and components for surface-to-surface missiles,” the official statement reads.
This operation marks the sixth day of Israel’s unprecedented offensive and is considered one of the most direct and large-scale strikes launched by Israel inside Iran.
As of now, Iran has not issued an official response, but this strike is expected to heighten tensions not only between the two nations but throughout the Middle East region.

This is a bold and potentially provocative move by Israel, indicating a shift from defensive operations to direct targeting of Iranian military infrastructure deep inside the country.
The airstrike highlights Israel’s firm stance against Iranian advancements in nuclear and missile capabilities. However, such actions carry a high risk of triggering a broader regional conflict. Tehran’s response in the coming hours will be crucial in determining whether this marks the beginning of a new phase in the confrontation.
