Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a strong message in the aftermath of rising Middle East tensions. In a post on platform X, he stated that Iran has no desire for war, but it will not tolerate any aggression against the “Great Iran.”
“We did not start the war and we never wanted it, but we will not leave the aggression against the Great Iran unanswered,” Pezeshkian wrote.
He emphasized Iran’s resolve to defend its sovereignty:
“We will protect this beloved nation’s security with our entire being, and we will respond to every wound on Iran’s body with faith, wisdom, and determination.”
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed in an official statement that Iran has launched a “powerful and destructive missile attack” on the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, in retaliation for a U.S. strike on Iranian nuclear facilities.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on Almighty God and its loyal, proud people, will never leave any aggression against its territorial integrity, sovereignty, or national security without response,” the statement said.
