Iran Denies Truce Violation as Israel Threatens Strikes on Tehran

Iran has firmly denied accusations made by senior Israeli officials alleging a breach of the recently agreed ceasefire between the two nations. According to Iran’s state media, as reported by the BBC, Tehran has dismissed the claims, stating that no rockets were launched towards Israel after the truce came into effect.

In a public statement, Iranian authorities clarified that “no military action was taken against Israel” and emphasized their commitment to the ceasefire terms. The accusations come amid heightened scrutiny, especially following the U.S.-brokered ceasefire that was personally announced by President Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz declared on Tuesday that he had instructed the Israel Defense Forces to respond “forcefully to Iran’s breach of the ceasefire” by launching targeted strikes against key Iranian regime sites “in the heart of Tehran.”

This sharp exchange of words has raised fears of a rapid escalation, potentially collapsing the fragile truce that had been seen as a breakthrough in de-escalating tensions in the Middle East.

The U.S. has yet to issue an official response regarding the conflicting claims. Regional analysts warn that without swift diplomatic engagement, the path back to conflict remains wide open.

Iran’s denial and Israel’s threats show how quickly a fragile ceasefire can unravel. Verification of the alleged attacks will be crucial in determining whether the truce holds or collapses. The international community must act fast to investigate and de-escalate before the region slides back into open conflict.
