In Surah An-Nur (24:40), the Quran mentions: “Darkness in a deep sea. It is covered by waves, upon which are waves, and above them are clouds…”.
This description is remarkably accurate considering it was revealed in the 7th century, long before any human could dive into deep seas. Modern science has shown that sunlight cannot penetrate below 200 meters in the ocean, and at depths beyond 1000 meters, complete darkness prevails.
Such precise knowledge is not the product of chance, but another evidence of the Quran’s divine origin.
